Internal-bleaching

Internal bleaching is typically recommended for teeth that have undergone root canal treatment and have become internally stained or discolored. This procedure allows us to effectively address intrinsic discoloration, which cannot be corrected through traditional external teeth whitening methods.

The process of internal bleaching involves accessing the interior of the tooth to remove any existing staining or discoloration. Our skilled dentist will carefully create a small opening in the back of the tooth to access the pulp chamber. The discolored dental pulp is then gently removed, and a special bleaching agent is applied to the inside of the tooth.

The bleaching agent is left in place for a specific period, allowing it to penetrate the tooth and break down the internal stains. Throughout this process, our dentist closely monitors the progress to ensure optimal results. Once the desired shade is achieved, the bleaching agent is removed, and the tooth is sealed with a tooth-colored filling material.

Internal bleaching is a safe and effective procedure when performed by a qualified dental professional. It offers several benefits, including the restoration of a natural and uniform tooth color, enhancing the overall aesthetics of your smile. The results are long-lasting, although it is important to maintain good oral hygiene practices and avoid habits like smoking or consuming staining foods and beverages to prevent future discoloration.
